Supercity
Fusing Sudaca jazz, blues-rock, Malian jazz, desert-blues, gypsy-swing, Balkan twangs and dub beats, Supercity’s sound is skillfully concocted from the melting pots of an up-rooted world. Drawing inspiration from every continent, ATICO (their first CD) is held together by strong arrangements and sharp lyrics, while their live shows are quickly gaining them a reputation amongst revellers and music-heads alike.

From warehouse spaces, to Amsterdam’s infamous Paradiso; from living room gigs to theatres, Supercity performs with a flexible line-up that can include the whole gauntlet of vocals, drums, contrabass, percussion, trumpets and guitars – not to mention the odd travelling musician or singer who happens to be passing by. As they flow through structured songs and inspirational improvisations, be it as a duo (lead vocals and acoustic guitar), or with the whole shebang on stage, their joyous celebration of music catches the spirit of everyone that sees them. From their beginnings in an Amsterdam attic, this band honed their sound in a basement studio - and now they’re fully fired-up and ready to take you on a trip in a Mexican fez.

Manuel Gatti
Manuel Gatti is a 26-year old singer and guitarist from Chile, combining the sharp guitar sounds inherited from 70s rock with the more melodic influences from pop music. He is currently presenting his self-titled debut album, released in Santiago de Chile in mid-2009. On this album Manuel Gatti plays with contrasts, balancing between hard rock riffs and sweet love verses. As he describes it himself: “This is an album of pop songs played by a rock band”.

In 2009, Manuel Gatti did several major shows in Santiago de Chile, presenting his debut album in La Batuta, where he played with his power trio in front of a sold out crowd. The climax of his live shows was reached at a presentation at the Catholic University in front of more than 7000 people. His music received much acclaim from the press.

Currently Manuel Gatti lives in Amsterdam, writing his second album and presenting his latest work solo in local settings.
